Bushnell Velocity speed guns are not supplied with individual calibration certificates from the factory.

 Verification of Accuracy (Tuning Fork Test)

The accuracy of the Velocity speed gun is verified using the certified radar tuning fork supplied with the device, which is the industry-standard method for confirming operational accuracy. We recommend performing this test at least daily, ideally before and after each period of use, and keeping a record of these tests.

The tuning fork is supplied with a certificate of calibration.

The tuning fork is manufactured to a fixed frequency and, unless it is physically damaged, that frequency does not change. For this reason, the tuning fork certificate does not expire. A tuning fork calibrated in 2023 is still accurate in 2026 if the tuning fork has not been damaged.

The speed gun can measure the velocity of a baseball, softball, or tennis ball traveling between 16 and 177 km/h from up to 27 meters away. For cars, it can capture speeds between 16 and 322 km/h from a distance of up to 457 meters.
